New project helps south Londoners into work

 

A new south London project is helping people who have experienced issues with substance misuse and the criminal justice system get the help they need to find employment.
In partnership with Southwark Works, Working Out Southwark offers specialist to help people increase employability skills, explore career options, access training and work placements and gain or progress within paid employment. It supports people who are both currently unemployment and those who are in work but want to improve their employment situations.Help on offer includes careers advice and guidance, personalised support to increase employability skills alongside access to specialist training, advice on welfare rights and money management and employer networks. The team continue to offer in-work support in the early stages of employment.Working Out Southwark, which started in July, is based at our Camberwell office in south London and will run for two years.
