WHAT WE DO
The SOS+ Service delivers early intervention work to children, young people, parents and professionals in educational, community and professional settings. Our award-winning approach uses trained professionals with lived experience of the criminal justice system to de-glamorise gang involvement and expose the harsh realities of crime and violence.
- Dispel myths and glamorisation relating to gang violence and violent extremism.
- Look at how perpetrators recruit young people, including online & through gaming and what they can do to stay safe.
- Help children and young people have greater awareness of the realities and issues surrounding gang involvement, drugs, violence, extremism and radicalisation, and learn about strategies to help avoid the risk of becoming involved in these activities.
- Support schools, colleges and community settings to be able to tackle issues that they may feel less equipped to deal with.
