Employment services
Decent employment is an important step for many of the people we help. We work with people who have been held back by disadvantage secure and sustain employment. We also help people who are experiencing in-work poverty to improve their employment circumstances.
Employment support for adults
We provide specific employment support for people who have experienced barriers such as homelessness, time spent in prison, mental health and addiction issues.
Our focus is on helping people overcome these barriers, working at their pace to build their confidence and skills. Services typically offer:
Help building CVs
Support with job searching
Preparing for interviews

accessing skills
Accessing financial support for employment-related costs e.g. tools, equipment.
Much of this work is multi-agency and we also work with employers to source opportunities for our clients and support them to become inclusive employers.
Employment support for young people
We support young people held back by barriers such as poverty, family breakdown, leaving care or previous involvement with the criminal justice system access training and employment opportunities.
The help we provide is both emotional and practical as many of the young people need a lot of support to build their levels of confidence and self-believe. We help them identify their career goals and then support them towards achieving these. The services typically provide similar support to our adult employment services with the same focus on helping address any underlying issues which might be holding the young person back from realising their full potential.
