TURNING A PAST INTO A FUTURE

From expert facilitators on issues relating to serious youth violence, extremism and exploitation with practical, operational outcomes.

WHAT WE DO

The SOS+ Service delivers preventative and early intervention work to children and young people; as well as training for parents and professionals in educational and community settings.

Our award-winning approach uses trained professionals with lived experience of the criminal justice system to equip children and young people to think critically, assess risk and make better life choices, making them more resilient to the risks of becoming involved in gangs, exploitation and violence.

OUR APPROACH

SOS+'s award-winning approach puts trained staff with lived experience at the heart of the solution. Having once been involved in gangs, exploitation and violence themselves, they are imbued with a passion and collective desire to ensure the young people they work with do not make the same mistakes they once did.

This pro-social-modelling approach allows our staff to offer an alternative to the often glamourised narrative of gang culture and criminal lifestyle; where their ability to draw from their own life experiences has enjoyed success where conventional approaches have failed.
