No More Red: St Giles partners with Arsenal & Adidas to keep young people safe

St Giles is proud to once again join forces with Arsenal FC and Adidas as part of the No More Red initiative, which returns for the fourth year. This partnership, first launched in January 2022 between the club and its charity partners aims to promote community safety and raise awareness about youth violence.

As part of the No More Red campaign, Arsenal’s Premier League team will swap their iconic red kit for a striking white strip, symbolizing a commitment to tackling youth violence. The white kit made its debut at Arsenal’s FA Cup home game against Manchester United on Sunday 13 January.

Youth violence and knife crime remains a pressing issue for many communities. Recent NHS data reported 3,897 admissions for assault by a sharp object between April 2023 and March 2024, a 3% increase from the previous year.

St Giles is at the forefront of efforts to address these challenges. The charity provides direct support to children and young people affected by youth violence and criminal exploitation while also delivering preventative education in schools and community settings.

Over last year, St Giles reached over 96,000 children and young people through schools-based programs, and 382 young people were supported to leave or reduce their involvement in county lines and other exploitative activities.

Tracey Burley, Chief Executive of St Giles, said:

“We are honoured to be part of this iconic and impactful initiative. Our heartfelt thanks go to Arsenal and Adidas for their commitment to working with the local community and helping young people stay safe, while building brighter futures.”
