St Giles & Coventry Building Society Bring Summer Cheer to Midlands Families

Coventry Building Society has teamed up with St Giles Trust to support children and families across the West Midlands during the summer holidays – a time when many faces heightened risks due to poverty and economic hardship.

Through generous donations of toys, books, games, and activity packs, families using the St Giles Coventry Pantry have received more than just entertainment. These gifts offer children safe opportunities to play, learn, and thrive, helping to ease the pressure on parents and carers during a challenging time.

“We are so happy to be able to offer our support for your amazing local community projects; they align perfectly with CBS values.”
Katy Rogers, Branch Network Support Specialist at Coventry Building Society

This partnership is part of St Giles Trust’s wider commitment to supporting vulnerable families across the Midlands. From tackling poverty and criminal exploitation to empowering people through peer-led support, the Midlands team works tirelessly to help individuals overcome barriers and build brighter futures.

“The summer holidays can be an especially vulnerable time for children at risk of harm, so donations like these are a lifeline. They help relieve pressure on parents and carers while giving children the chance to enjoy childhood and feel valued and safe.”
Jade Hibbert, Midlands Regional Development Manager at St Giles Trust

As part of our Safe Summer, Strong Futures campaign, this collaboration exemplifies how community partnerships can make a lasting impact, ensuring that when schools stop for summer, support doesn’t.
