SAFE SUMMER, STRONG FUTURES
When schools stop for summer, support shouldn't.
Keeping young people safe this summer, builds a better tomorrow for everyone.
The young people we work with won't have access to the safety net of school and the support of their teachers. This leaves them vulnerable to grooming and exploitation from gangs.
With your help, St Giles can be there.
This summer, we're reaching the most at-risk young people, helping them stay safe, supported and on track for a better future

Jake's Story
At just 20, I’d already been moved around the care system, with no one to protect me, and caught up in the kind of violence most people only hear about on the news.
With no school to support me during the summer holidays, i couldn’t see a real way forward. I had nothing to do and I started hanging out with some new people in my neighbourhood, and they offered me money to help them with a few ‘jobs’. Before i knew it, while helping run a parcel, I was stabbed. My new friends disappeared, i was isolated, traumatised and didn't feel safe in my neighbourhood.
That’s where St Giles came in. They helped me apply for Personal Independence Payments, and get ongoing medical support so I wasn’t at risk of going back to dangerous ways of getting money.
St Giles doesn’t just tick boxes. They listen. They encouraged me, when I felt hopeless, and saw my potential when I couldn’t.
