We are delighted to welcome four new Trustees to the Board of St Giles.
Ameeta Rowland, Andrew McEachern, Charlotte O’ Brien, and Jane Cadell bring a wealth of experience, insight, and commitment that will help guide and strengthen our work.
Their diverse backgrounds and shared dedication to our mission will play an important role as we continue to develop our service delivery and support the people that we serve. We are grateful for their willingness to contribute their time and expertise and look forward to working together to further advance St Giles’ strategic objectives and action plans.
Ameeta Rowland
We are delighted to be welcoming Ameeta back as a Trustee, with her having first joined the Board in 2018 serving until 2023.
Ameeta is an independent strategy and transformation consultant working across local government and the public sector. Prior to consulting, Ameeta held senior local government roles, including as Director of Corporate Strategy at Kensington and Chelsea Council.
She is drawn to St Giles’ commitment lived experience and peer support. Her previous experience on the Board brings valuable insights, knowledge and experience of St Giles’ work and we look forward to working with her again as we continue our work and grow our impact as we look to the future.
Andrew McEachern
Andrew currently works as an executive coach after retiring from full time employment at the end of 2024, where he was Global Head of HR at Christie’s. He brings 40 years of commercial and international experience to St Giles having worked in the energy sector (Shell), financial services (Goldman Sachs) and professional services (Norton Rose Fulbright) first as a lawyer and then as a HR professional. Andrew is based in Kent having lived and worked in London, Australia, Hong Kong, and Beijing.
Charlotte O’ Brien
Charlotte is currently the Head of Reducing Reoffending at HMP Millsike, leading strategic work to improve rehabilitation, resettlement, and outcomes for people in custody. She has extensive experience across operational, resettlement and offender management roles, with a strong focus on evidence‑based interventions and partnership working.
She is passionate about trauma‑informed practice, substance misuse support, while ensuring that prisoner voices directly inform services designed to reduce reoffending. She brings to St Giles a deep understanding of the criminal justice system, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to empowering people to build safer, more stable futures.
Jane Cadell
Jane is a Senior Finance Executive with experience across consumer brands, media, fast moving consumer goods and education, having originally trained with Unilever. Her most recent role was for Costa Coffee as their UK Chief Financial Officer (CFO) having previously held Regional Finance Director roles across Costa International, Europe and Middle East and the Costa Express business.
Prior to Costa, Jane was the CFO of Macmillan Education, a global publishing company operating in over 50 markets. Alongside her career, Jane served six years as the Chair of Audit and Risk for Wikimedia UK – the UK chapter of the Wikipedia Foundation. Jane is a Chartered Management Accountant with a BSc in Biochemistry from Cardiff University and is based in London.
Jane joins us as Chair of Audit and will chair the Finance and Audit Committee once she has completed her handover from the current Committee chair, Julie Rice.
