We are in the spotlight once again as a top employer! St Giles Trust has come in at number 23 in the Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work For in the Not For Profit category, rising 28 places from our spot at 51 in 2017. We are one of only three organisations to consistently rank in the Top 100 for the past ten years.
The 278 paid staff and volunteers at St Giles Trust participated in a confidential survey last autumn on their working life. 87% said that they felt they could make a positive contribution to St Giles Trust’s success and 81% responded to say they are inspired by Chief Executive Rob Owen OBE, who ranked as fifth in the Leadership Award in the Not For Profit category.
Rob said:
“The Best Companies survey is a great barometer for us to know how we are doing – what we are doing right and what we can improve and do better. It’s also the most amazing external verification to other employers that giving people a second chance makes good business sense. I feel very proud to be part of a charity that changes so many lives for the better.”
We learned of our ranking at the Best Companies awards event on 21 February at Battersea Power Station.
