St Giles Cymru attends Gofod3

We were delighted to attend Gofod3 at Cardiff City Stadium last week (17 June 2026), helping to shape conversations about the future of the voluntary sector in Cymru.

Organised by the WCVA (Welsh Council for Voluntary Action) and the biggest voluntary sector event of its kind in Wales, Gofod means space in Welsh. It brings together organisations and individuals making a difference to people’s lives.

Lived experience is at the heart of St Giles’ work across Wales. From Y Pantri in Colwyn Bay, supporting local communities experiencing poverty, to the BOOST Hub in Newport, helping women facing multiple disadvantages move towards employment, and our work in Aberdulais, Neath, increasing diversity in the heritage sector through volunteer training and development, we see every day the transformative impact of placing lived experience at the centre of services.

We were proud to have the opportunity to share our knowledge, expertise and insights on harnessing the power of lived experience, while also learning from the many inspiring organisations and individuals attending the event.

A huge thank you to WCVA for bringing the sector together and creating space for these important conversations.
