St Giles Midlands Named Lord Mayor of Coventry Charity Partner 2024/2025

St Giles Midlands are delighted to have been chosen as one of the Lord Mayor of Coventry, Cllr Mal Mutton’s charity partners for 2024/2025. The selection highlights the Lord Mayor’s commitment to supporting organisations that provide crucial services and positively impact the local community.

Cllr Mal Mutton said:

“I am honoured to select St Giles Midlands as one of my chosen charities for the coming year,

“The reason I chose St Giles is because they go where other people fear to try, it is so important that people with lived experience support our community members and St Giles do just that. The work they do is incredibly impactful, offering hope and practical support to some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Their dedication to changing lives aligns perfectly with my vision for a more inclusive and supportive Coventry. My hopes for working with St Giles over the next year are to give them the profile they deserve and to support them to gain respect from other professionals and agencies across the city to make a real difference to our communities

The partnership between the Lord Mayor’s office and St Giles Midlands will include a series of fundraising events, community initiatives, and awareness campaigns throughout the year. These efforts aim to raise vital funds and increase public awareness about the challenges faced by the people the charity supports across Coventry.

“We are thrilled to have the support of the Lord Mayor of Coventry. This endorsement will significantly enhance our ability to provide essential services to those in need and expand our reach within the community across Coventry,”

said Jade Hibbert Midlands Regional Development Manager, St Giles.

St Giles Midlands has been working to support people in the region to build better futures for themselves and people they care about since 2016. St Giles is dedicated to helping vulnerable children, young people and adults facing severe disadvantage to find jobs, homes, and the well-being or training support they need to create a better and safer future; with a focus on supporting people impacted by exploitation, youth-related violence and the criminal justice system. The charity provides personalised support to individuals to overcome their challenges and achieve their potential, with an aim to turn every past into a future and leave no one behind.
