Shaun Tyndall will be joining charity St Giles as Chief Operating Officer (COO) on 5 October.
Shaun brings extensive leadership experience spanning finance, operations, technology, business transformation and organisational performance. Most recently, he has served as Chief Financial Officer at Workers’ Educational Association, where he played a key role in shaping strategy, driving operational effectiveness and supporting organisational growth.
Prior to this, Shaun held a number of senior finance and operational leadership roles including those at Smart Energy GB and Mencap.
He joins St Giles at a time when the charity is developing its new five year organisational strategy, navigating opportunities to grow its work using lived experience to support people impacted by poverty, violence & exploitation and the justice system. Last financial year (25/26), St Giles supported 12,761 new clients across England and Wales.
Underpinned by lived experience, St Giles connects people with support, systems and networks at critical moments, so people have the safety and stability to realise their potential.

As COO, Shaun will work closely with colleagues across St Giles to strengthen operational capabilities, support delivery of its strategic priorities and help ensure the charity continues to provide the very best service to its clients and stakeholders.
Shaun is also a qualified psychotherapist and has previously volunteered as a counsellor for MIND.
