St Giles has concluded a successful year as one of the official charities supported by Cllr Mal Mutton during her term as Lord Mayor of Coventry (May 2024–May 2025).
Cllr Mutton selected St Giles’ Midlands-based team as one of her chosen charities for the year, helping to raise awareness and vital funds for our work supporting people facing disadvantage, including poverty, exploitation and involvement in the criminal justice system.
Over the course of the year, Cllr Mutton actively supported a range of community and fundraising initiatives, championing early intervention, rehabilitation and lived experience-led support. Her efforts raised £1,661 to help St Giles continue delivering frontline services across Coventry and the wider Midlands.
A highlight of the partnership was the Lord Mayor’s End of Year Fundraising Event, which brought together civic leaders, local organisations and community supporters. The event celebrated local impact and raised funds for all nominated charities.
Jade Hibbert, Business Development Manager at St Giles, said:
We are deeply thankful to Cllr Mal Mutton for selecting St Giles as one of her charities of the year. Her support has meant so much to our team, the people we work with, and the wider community. The visibility and encouragement she has given our work will have a lasting impact beyond her mayoral term.
Funds raised will directly support St Giles’ work helping young people at risk of exploitation, individuals in or leaving the justice system, and those experiencing poverty or homelessness across the region.
