Berkeley Partnership Spotlight

Berkeley Partnership Spotlight

At St Giles, we are hugely grateful for the support of our corporate partners, and Berkeley is a shining example of what a truly committed partnership looks like in action.

Back in September, we were delighted to renew our longstanding partnership with Berkeley for a further three years. Our partnership is supported by the Berkeley Foundation, an independent charity set up to support the communities where Berkeley operates.  Berkeley staff involvement in our work is additionally enhanced through the Foundation’s match funding scheme.

Activity at Berkeley is led by Foundation Champions, members of staff who lead on Berkeley’s charity partnerships in addition to their busy day jobs. The last few weeks have been an action packed and exciting time. Our team was invited to their quarterly update meeting to re-introduce ourselves to the Berkeley team, sharing the story of St Giles and reminding teams of the vital work we do supporting young people across our Hospital, SOS and SOS+ programmes.

A Berkeley team of volunteers recently came down to the Camberwell office and Pantry  to help with some much-needed cleaning and sorting, the kind of hands-on help that makes an enormous difference to our teams.

We were delighted to attend the Berkeley Foundation Awards, a breakfast event celebrating the work of the Berkeley Foundation and the employees who go above and beyond to champion their chosen charities. It was a morning full of inspiration, and we were absolutely thrilled that our very own St Giles champion was awarded Most Inspiring Champion. We couldn’t agree more, well done Charlotte Milmo!

We also joined the Berkeley team for a fantastic Question of Sport evening — a fun and lively night that raised a money for St Giles whilst sharing our work to a wider audience within the Berkeley community. Events like this remind us just how powerful it is when a corporate partner truly gets behind a cause.

Berkeley’s support also extended to sponsoring our Hospital Conference back in February, giving us the opportunity to spotlight the work we do to a wider audience across the sector, helping to build understanding and awareness of the support we provide to young people at their most vulnerable moments.

Berkeley’s donations goes directly to support our Hospital, SOS and SOS+ programmes, reaching young people when they need it most. We are so proud to have them in our corner, and we cannot wait to see what the next three years will bring.
