Award announced for exceptional colleague Alison Drew

Our colleague Alison Drew, a longstanding Trainer Assessor and Internal Quality Assurer is to be one of the first recipients of the City & Guilds Membership Awards.

Alison has many years of experience, talent and commitment behind her, training people in prison to gain the skills and confidence to become qualified advice and guidance professionals.  Alison’s work has directly transformed hundreds of lives through the people she has trained and indirectly touched many more through those helped by her trainees.

The City & Guilds Membership Awards is a programme designed to celebrate and recognise exceptional tutors and trainers who are making a significant impact on individuals and organisations.

These awards highlight the vital role of tutors and trainers in achieving this goal. By recognising and rewarding outstanding individuals, City & Guilds aims to inspire and motivate others to strive for excellence.

Alison’s manager Carol Thomson, Head of Quality and Assessment at St Giles, said:

“We are so proud of Alison and immensely grateful for all her dedicated hard work over the years in sometimes challenging circumstances.  Alison truly regards her work as a vocation, and she has played a pivotal role in transforming the lives of some of society’s most disadvantaged people for the better. This accolade is a testament to her skills, compassion and exceptional work.”

Alison will receive her award at a ceremony on 3 March 2025.
