Pantry network
Food is a basic necessity and if someone is worrying where their next meal is coming from it prevents them from moving forward, creating a vicious cycle.
What it is
Our Pantry network provides emergency food relief alongside advice and support to address the underlying issues trapping people in poverty. Sustainably sourced food provides people with access to an affordable, wholesome diet whilst they are helped to overcome obstacles and progress their lives.
The aim of the Pantries is to provide dignity and empowerment. For a small weekly subscription, people using the Pantry can chose their food as they would in any other weekly shop whilst benefiting from practical and emotional support.
The Pantries have become local hubs in the communities in which they are based, providing companionship, networking, training and a single point of contact for advice, support and guidance for anyone using them. From coffee mornings to advice on budgeting and employment, many locally relevant services are provided thanks to collaboration with a wide range of other community providers.
The Pantry network supports both individuals and whole families. The aim is to help people move out of poverty within six months of support.
Where: Our Pantries are located in London, Norwich and Colwyn Bay.
