Brief Intervention Service
We offer a week-day drop in service for homeless people at our head office in south London
Our busy week-day morning housing casework service helps vulnerable homeless people with emergency issues and then refers onto services offering longer-term support, both within St Giles Trust and externally.
Our trained, professional staff can help with a range of issues related to an individual's housing situation such as obtaining ID, benefit claims, accessing other services such as substance misuse, health services and signposting to training and employment support.
The service is funded through Southwark Council and charitable trust sources. To be eligible for a caseworker, clients must have a connection to the Southwark area and at least one additional support need (e.g. substance misuse, health needs, involvement in the criminal justice system) as well as housing needs. However, we will not turn anyone away who needs help and will try to signpost clients to other services that can help them if they are not eligible for our own support.
