Exciting developments in our private rented teams mean that we will soon be able to offer supported housing for ex-offenders in Waltham Forest and vulnerable women in Southwark.
The new services are a development of work already underway in our private rented team who liaise with private landlords to source private rented accommodation for our homeless clients. In times of dwindling social housing supplies, this has been absolutely vital for us to meet the needs of our clients and in the past year, the busy team have found accommodation for 215 clients.
“The big challenge for us has been ensuring that our clients are ready to hold down a private rented tenancy given the fact that some have high levels of need” said Joy Wylie from our Private Rented Team. “We will now be able to bridge this a little through offering tenancy support to some of the people we place.”
The new funding will now mean that we will be able to provide tenancy support for clients living in Waltham Forest and for vulnerable women living in Southwark.
